TAG, was established in 1993 as a not-for-profit corporation to offer artists invaluable opportunities for promotional and creative growth. TAG provides extensive exhibition opportunities including off-site venues, exposure to prominent members of the art community, access to a fully managed website and is a resource for launching the careers of both emerging and mid-career artists. Events at TAG, such as the lecture series Art Spoken Here, frequent Artists Talks and the annual California Open Exhibition draw ever-increasing audiences, providing TAG artists with an expanding market for their work.
Members of TAG are inducted by a careful screening process, including the final approval by the membership as a whole. The Admissions Committee normally reviews slides with applications between October 10 and November 10, for membership beginning January 1. Artists at TAG participate in Group Shows at least twice a year, as well as an exhibition alone or with one or two other artists, according to a priority system established by the membership. Many members are also represented outside of the gallery, and are encouraged to participate actively in the art community at large. You will find events at TAG listed in the Los Angeles Times, as well as local newspapers, including Art Review, Art Scene, and Gallery Guide.

APPLICATION PACKET SHOULD INCLUDE:
- a slide sheet containing twelve to twenty professional quality labeled slides of work produced during the past 3 years.Slide should be labeled: Upper left corner: slide number, upper right corner: arrow indicating viewing direction of slide bottom portion of slide: name and title
- a separate sheet (with your name at the top) listing in the order: Slide number, title, media, size and date
- or a CD-R with Jpeg format for pc. Include the same information as above in a word document on the disc.
- or 8 x 10 prints (digital OK) minimum size, are also acceptable
- an artist statement
